Task/Assignment: Production of Virtual Advocacy and Information BasheZ (VAIBZ), in line with SAfAIDS My Choice, Our Choice Campaign on promoting policy transformation for access to legal and unrestricted safe abortion

- Background
SAfAIDS is a regional NGO amplifying Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), gender justice and human rights, towards achieving the SDGs; across the SADC region. Its Regional Office is domiciled in Zimbabwe, and has Country Offices in the Kingdom of Eswatini, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe with Country Focal Points in Lesotho and Malawi. SAfAIDS is a Trend-setter in promoting integrated effective and ethical development responses to SRHR, by enabling Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and Resilience for All people in their recognised diversity; through collaboration with State and non-State actors at policy, service delivery and community levels.
SAfAIDS Zimbabwe Country Office, in rolling out the national component of the Regional My Choice, Our Choice Campaign, seeks services of an experienced and highly-skilled team of professionals, to produce Virtual Advocacy and Information BasheZ (VAIBZ) for the Campaign. This will involve virtual dissemination of key Campaign messages, following collecting and documenting evidence for advocacy, and uniquely packaging messages targeted at policy makers/political leaders, religious and traditional leaders.
- Scope of the Consultancy
SAfAIDS will provide the concept to guide content. The selected Consultant will:
- Conduct screening processes and identify local performing artists, in consultation with SAfAIDS Zimbabwe, to be featured at the virtual bashes
- Collate relevant evidence for the VIABZ outputs’ generation
- Produce scripts and host virtual bashes, with sign language interpretation
- Document and share weekly 1-minute clips, with diverse themes agreed with the SAfAIDS, and virtually broadacast them on agree social media spaces.
- Key Deliverables
The following are the key deliverables for this Assignment:
- Assignment Workplan and Proposed Approach (2-days post contracting)
- Weekly theme-based and evidence informed 1-minute clips for advocacy and social mobilsation
- Develop scripts for virtual bashes and related social mobilisation (social-media based), and host the virtual events
- Document the virtual bashes and produce assignment report
- Integrate subtitles in all audiovisual products, to enable English and vernacular language (Shona and Ndebele) audience uptake
- Expert Qualifications and Experience
Applying professionals and firms, must have:
- Experience and professional knowledge of, sexual and reproductive health and rights, with an added understanding of safe abortion and gender equality matters
- History of successful SRHR-related innovative and virtually-engaging advocacy materials and audiovisual products
- Expertise in harnessing social media and cyber and digital platforms and spaces, for policy advocacy campaigns, in the SRHR, gender equality and development sectorsTechnical expertise in Social media campaigns ,advocacy engagements and creations of demand using social media platforms
- Credible samples of similar assignments, previously completed
