NAIROBI, 15 September 2016 (allAfrica) – Adolescent girls and young women infected with HIV infections face stigma and discrimination when they seek reproductive health services such as family planning.

A group of adolescent girls and young women living with HIV under the auspices of a group called Sauti Skika say due to this unmet need for family planning, it makes them more vulnerable to unplanned pregnancies and at risk of reinfections.

Zimbabwe: Boost for Dr-TB Patients

HARARE, 10 September 2016 (Herald) – Government yesterday received eight ambulances, an audiometric machine and a digital X-ray machine from Global Fund to boost efforts in curbing the spread of Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (DRTB).

The ambulances, which cost $45 600 each, would be issued to all provinces, excluding Harare and Bulawayo. The target is to reduce TB — a disease mainly affecting the poor, children, the elderly and people living in crowded places.
