Position: Regional ICT Assistant
Placement: SAfAIDS Regional Office, Harare, Zimbabwe
Background:
If SRHR, gender/ climate justice and sustainable development is among your passions and experiences in information technology and programme support; this may be an opportunity for you, we are looking for a techno-savvy, agile, quality conscious, results focused, systematic planner, problem solver, efficient and multiple assignments skilled ICT Assistant for our Regional Office (RO). She/He/They will support the implementation SAfAIDS ICTs Strategy and interventions. They will work under the guidance of Regional ICT and Digital Graphics Specialist (IDiGS) to support the development of ICTs tools for tracking work-plans and related budgets, to generate high quality and timely reports (monthly, quarterly and annually) on all SAfAIDS programmes and other organizational operational areas. She/He/They will maintain the SAfAIDS ICT infrastructure including troubleshooting and basic maintenance of the internal network/hub and server, all organisational hardware and software. She/He/They will maintain an up-to-date inventory of all hardware and software; and monitor expiry of software licenses. She/He/They will also assist with systems disaster recovery planning; establishment and maintenance of suitable IT security measures encompassing: hardware, logical security, external risk and server related aspects. Regional ICT Assistant will provide technical support, as required, in the maintenance of the SAfAIDS website and in uploading and managing content for the SAfAIDS website, affiliated websites, the intranet and other SAfAIDS Social Media Platforms e.g., Facebook and Twitter, to raise visibility of the organisation.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification is a relevant University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Post Graduate qualification on related areas.
- Minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience in software and operating systems, ICT development projects, web administration, social media, online and e-learning platform management.
- Good emotional intelligence, multi-tasking and work prioritisation strategies including crisis management and risk reduction.
- Basic graphic designing, data analytics and research knowledge.
- Excellent communication, writing and reporting skills.
