Regional GNT4SRHR Skills-building Forum, under TLivesSHARP Programme

We hosted a vibrant Regional GNT4SRHR Skills-building Forum, under TLivesSHARP Programme with the third cohort of policy-makers from 15 #SADC Members States’ Ministries of Gender/Women Affairs, Health, Education, Youth & Justice. The GNT4SRHR Model equips & motivates policy-makers to adopt values, transform & commit as actor champions to enable gender-responsive SGBV and #SRHR policies for adolescents & young people in SADC and counter anti-rights movements. Policy-makers proposed recommendations for domestic budget allocation for SRHR and GBV prevention and response services and to catalyse domestication of the “Regional Sexual Violence Response Guidelines for Adolescents & Young People in the SADC Region”. The policy-makers were equipped to deal with technology facilitated gender-based violence #TFGBV, integrate climate action, feminism, diversity, positive masculinities & disaster responses into SRHR policy actions. The policy-makers reaffirmed commitment to ‘Ubuntu Means ZeroSGBV4Africa’ Campaign to end Rape, Child Marriage and Femicide, and pledged as Gender Champions for a more equitable future.
