Pioneering & vibrant convening by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and SADC Secretariat and other partners at the “Regional Conference: Advancing Data & Evidence for #GBV Prevention & #SRHR in Southern Africa” elevated critical nuances from diverse civil society, private sector, academia, UNFPA, youth, feminists & development agencies. SAfAIDS Executive Director Rouzeh Eghtessadi shared a best practice case on policy advocacy for developing harmonised regional policy instruments i.e., the ‘Regional Sexual Violence Response Guidelines for Adolescents & Young People’ validated by SADC Member States, under the Regional TLivesSHARP Programme – supported by Sida – Styrelsen för Internationellt Utvecklingssamarbete. The insightful Conference closed with an inspiring narrative by Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma , Hon. Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, South Africa
