Call for Applications 2024 – Intake 1: Social Accountability Monitoring for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SAM4SRHR) E-Course

What the SAM4SRHR E-Course Offers:

This online SAM4SRHR E-Course is hosted by SAfAIDS, under the TLivesSHARP Programme, generously supported by Sweden. It offers participants a 4-week learning space, on:

  • Basic understanding of the SAfAIDS SAM4SRHR Model and MobiSAfAIDS Application, and applying Social Accountability Monitoring through a human rights-based lens, to advocate for improved
  • SRH service access and SRHR enjoyment by adolescents and young people
  • Intersections between SRHR for young people, and resilience areas: Climate action, Gender equality and Countering SRHR-opposition and anti-rights movement
  • The role of adolescents and young people (AYP) as citizenry and rights-holders, in bringing to account duty-bearers from Government and Parliament, on their obligations to ensure AYP access to SRH services and enjoyment of their SRHR
  • Principles of public resource management (PRM) within the SAM4SRHR Model, and use of PRM principles by young people, as advocates of their own SRHR agenda
  • How to strategically map and identify advocacy targets and entry points, and form movements or collaborative partnerships; for greater SAM4SRHR advocacy impact at local, national, regional and continental levels
  • Advocacy methods and skills, to effectively bring duty-bearers to account in lifting barriers to AYP accessing quality, non-discriminatory, gender-responsive and  affordable SRH services

Deadline for Applications:

Applications must be received by 11.59pm (CAT) on 27th June 2024. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. E-Course participants will be selected based on set selection criterion. Successful applicants will be notified by 4th July 2024.

The E-Course will start on 8th July 2024 and end on 2nd August 2024. It will be delivered in English.
