Nurturing young women to become leaders and champions of HIV and SRHR.

Launched in August 2011, the YWL regional programme focuses on building leadership skills and capacity of 9 young women aged 18-24years from Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe, to become leaders and champions in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), HIV and GBV prevention, gender equality and sexual rights in their respective communities. The programme is a 3-tier training which focuses on empowering young women to serve as advocates, enhancing their knowledge and skills to reclaim their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and building innovative thinking - as the basis for nurturing young women advocates who are conversant, passionate and devoted to raising awareness of SRHR, gender equality and LGBTI issues in Africa.
